The High Court of Justice in London on Wednesday issued a proprietary injunction and Bankers Trust order requiring two offshore exchanges to return 412 BTC traced to a UK-based victim of a 2023 phishing attack, in what lawyers describe as one of the largest crypto recoveries ordered by an English court.\n\nThe claimant's legal team used blockchain forensics to trace the stolen funds through a series of intermediary wallets and mixing services before they settled in identifiable exchange-controlled addresses. The court accepted that crypto-assets constitute property capable of being the subject of a proprietary claim under English law.
